Watched my snake "wag" tail
I walked in to peek on my ball python tonight and "he" (sex is unknown, age approx. 6-8mos) was out and about. He was relaxed by his water dish but was making cute little wagging motions with his tail while I watched him (he knew I was watching him). Not fast, like mimicking a rattle, but just slow and cute like a content puppy. Anyone know what this slow wagging of the tail means?

Haha that's so cute! I never experienced it with my animals, and to the best of my knowledge it doesn't really mean anything but some snakes will do it when they get excited (I've seen some vids where the ball python will wag its tail when feeding) or worked up, almost like somebody who subconsciously bites their nails or something when they're anxious.

Hah, I was figuring it was a defense thing. My presence was making him insecure - he's not too used to me yet, as I've only had him 3 weeks now.
