    First clutch yielded???

So this first clutch is a little odd because my pairing to this normal female was a spotnose and cinnamon males. I have checked and double checked my records and I never paired a pastel male to her. So when this little pastel female popped out I was like "WTF??". I called my buddy that I bought the female from, and he told me the only male he'd ever paired to her was a POG male. I now own that very same POG male. So, if what my buddy tells me is true, then this pastel baby could only have come from retained sperm and would be 100% het orange ghost. Since it wouldn't be possible for me to sell her like that I am going to keep her and hopefully prove out her genetics.

This is what my first clutch yielded this year:

    Spotnose female:

Pastel 100% Het Orange Ghost female:

And the Normals (which I haven't sexed yet):

Here is the clutch in the eggs:

    Here is Mom:

And here are the two Dad's:

    Re: First clutch yielded???

In the text you said the 2 dads were a spotnose and a cinnamon. Then in the pictures of the 2 dads you have a spotnose and what appears to me to be a pastel (not a cinnamon).

    I guess I'm confused a bit.

If you read a bit more in depth, it is mentioned that the Pastel occurred due to retained sperm from last years breedings.
