What is the best way to help your bp shed?

What is the best way to help your bp shed? My phone messed up my heading.

I recently got a ball python and it on it's second shed since I got it. Both times It has had difficulty shedding. After the first shed I used shed-ease to help it finish. I did some more research and tried to raise the humidity. Currently it is at about 50 but it has been shedding for over a week.
I used to keep a gopher snake for many years and never had issues with it so I'm not entirely new to keeping a snake though I hadn't had not in about 7 years.
Any help our suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What do you keep your BP in? A tub or tank? 50% is what a BP should have when it isn't in shed. You might try misting the enclosure a few times a day while you BP is in shed. You can also move the waterdish over your under tank heater or heat tape. That will raise the humidity. After you reply with what you setup is it will be easier to give better advice.

I keep it in a tank. I've got a heat pad on one side of the tank and the eater dish on the other and a day light over the middle. I don't remember what the substrate was called. It was a zilla brand that said it was good for reptiles. I haunt been to the pet store to check that.
It's not a very old snake. Since I didn't get it originally but it is between a foot and a half and two feet long.

Cover 80% of the screen lid but where the lamp is. This will hold in heat and humidity helping shedding.

If the house isnt cold the lamp shouldn't be needed unless the room the tank is in is cold. And Misting during shedding daily anytime you look at the tank will help get perfect sheds.

I keep mine in tubs in a rack system but any time mine go "blue" they go the shedding tub as we call it. Instead of substrate in the bottem it has a damp towel and a hide box with lid and after they shed they go back in their original tub. Mine shed in once piece every time!

That may work for you but its not a good habit to have them laying on wet towels. Its a mold city waiting to develop when you keep misting it.

Just mist the cage/tub/tank their in twice a day and thats all you should have to do.

You might try moving your waterbowl to the side where your heater is. Rich hit the rest perfectly.
