Well I can take a joke. It was kinda funny, but in all seriousness its not good practice to not quarantine your animals. I have had snakes for going on 9 years now. I just purchased several this year from 3 different reputable breeders and I did a quarantine for almost 2 months and noticed nothing. I then decided to put them into the snake room with the rest (in their own tubs) and what do you know, one had mites. I have never had mites or a sick snake. Trust me you dont want to deal with things like this. It can even happen when you do things correctly. I caught them early and stopped them but they are persistent little buggers. The snake you just got is most likely fine but you never know for sure and you can save yourself alot of stress by just doing things the right way. There are alot of good people on here that know alot and will help you and be glad to joke around but some things need to be taken seriously. They have taught me alot. Good luck.
