    No one is being defensive here except for you. You aren't adhering to a strict quarantine period for new animals. Someone mentioned that you NEED to quarantine and then you got defensive because your husbandry was brought into question.

    Regardless of where an animal comes from you really, really, really need to keep to a quarantine procedure for all new arrivals. This is to ensure both the health of your new animal as well as the health of those that the snake comes into contact with. There are some truly tragic stories on here that detail just what can happen when quarantine isn't put into practice. The people here are simply trying to spare you that sort of grief.

    I have two males here on loan from a good friend. I don't question the quality of her animals or her husbandry at all and yet both of these guys were quarantined for 6 weeks before I introduced them to their intended females.

    I agree with aalomon, as well. Unless they're breeding, you really shouldn't co-hab your snakes. They're not social and prefer being alone. It makes it easier to identify potential problems with a snake in an enclosure when there is only one snake living there.
