They are nocturnal so being active at night is normal. What are your temps and humidity like? What are you using for hides?

This may work...
Try turning your back and counting to ten. Then, right before you open your eyes, yell "ready or not, here I come!". If it's not in it's hide after that then I'm stumped...

Ok but seriously, when was the last time you fed the Bp? What's the temp in the hide? Is the snake constantly active or just chilling in a corner?

The half logs aren't so good for BPs. They don't feel very secure in them because they're open on both ends. And wood is a pain to clean. Have you looked at the hides from Reptile Basics? They are really nice and suitable for BPs. They like snug, dark hides with small openings. Just a thought...

The half log hides aren't bad IF you have the sides and backs blacked out and have the back of the log hide pushed against the back or side. You can use black Con-Tact paper from Home Depot for like $6, you just cut the sizes you need and stick them on the sides. Also do you have a hide for the cool end too? How are you measuring temps??

Those hides are small, I have one for my 105 gram female but she won't fit in it for too much longer.
