Note that the angle from which you are viewing the river has changed too, and the shore... hasn't moved!
See, it's very simple stuff. Most of it's just photo trickery, designed to fool anyone who merely glanced at it.
Being someone who does a lot of photoshopping, I have an eye for that sort of thing.
