    Ball python weigh questions

    Hello

How much will a full grown ball python weigh? I have been wondering for a long time, and I only have one 180 gram BP. Some people say around 1500 grams and some say around 3000 grams. Ooh, this makes me so confused. How much can I expect my BP to grow? It is a male.

    Re: Ball python weigh questions

It also depends on the sex. Males are usually 1.000-1.500 gram when they're fully grown. And females are usually about 2.000-2.500 gram. But as already said, it depends on the snake. The biggest bp ever recorded weighs 8.000 gram (not a hybrid but a bp). But this is very unusual. The biggest I personally know about is around 4.000 gram, which belongs to a friend of mine.

That's kind of like asking how much a fully-grown human will weigh. It depends on how much they eat and when, how much energy they have to expend, and what their genetics are.

The largest male I have varies from 4000g at the end of the year to ~3600 grams when he resumes feeding in late spring or summer. But he seems to be an exception. A 2500 gram male wouldn't be unusual.

Feed him all he wants when he's young and take good care of him and he'll reach whatever his optimum size is meant to be.

Ah, I see. Hopefully mine will grow between 1500g-2500g, that would be awesome ! By the way, I am about to get a 600g male soon, so I am exciting

Anywhere between 1500g to 2000g is about average. But like it was stated before, it can vary.
