The only hide I ever see one of my bps in is the hot hide, and they are both the exact same. When he's out at night sometimes he'll wander to the cool side and lay out or climb up the sides. Thermoregulating is where a snake moves from hot to cool in order to keep their body temp where it should be. They don't necessarily have to switch hides in order to do this. Not sure if this has been asked but how are you measuring your temps? You said you have a thermostat and a dimmer right? But how are you measuring the actual temps?
