The size looks fine to me. I have at least one hide in each of my tubs. I have two snakes that use the hides and two that just hide under the paper. I guess it depends on the snake and how easily they stress out.

Maybe it's just me, but the tub seems a bit small. 1.6 feet is about 20 inches, normal lighter is 3 inches and based on a quick copy to paint to measure it's a 15inch long tub at best.

Even if it's not too small for her now, she won't last long in there. It seems like 20 inches to 30 inches happens pretty quick.

Anyone else care to weigh in?

Their cheap and easily replaced with next size up for few dollars compared to cost of fish tanks.

Ball pythons dont like large open tanks. 15 qt tub which is what that looks like will house ball pythons till 800g easy

Looks a little small to me as well. Balls do like small spaces though. If you can fit everything you need in there it should be fine.

I would suggest a hide, you will have to upgrade to a larger tub soon also.

Nevermind the hide, you might want to consider a heat source.

I've thought the same thing, but I think a vaguely remember him/her mentioning they live somewhere tropical (I think?) and it's consistently 80-90 degrees inside the house. I might be thinking of someone else.
