    Head patterns

    I'm curious if wild type ball pythons can have head patterns similar to spiders and spotnoses, or if this an indicator of a morph? I was browsing a breeders site and noticed a possible DH clown/caramel that has an pattern on it's head that's not blushing like my other normals. I've yet to see any "normals" with patterns like that. Don't think I'm allowed to post the pic, but here's the website link, he's second from the bottom.

    I'm still learning, so if I'm completely mistaken please forgive me, just looked odd

    Re: Head patterns

    Hi,

    I'm not 100% certain of this but I seem to recall that is more to do with the "jungle pattern" part of it rather than the clown or caramel. They also tend to have lighter eyes than regular BP's

    Now for the downside - I don't think Jungle ever proved to be reproducable.

    **edit**

    I actually found a cool picture of a jungle in an old version of the ball python manual - the one with the blue cover if you can pick it up cheap and are curious.

    And loads of them on these two pages;

    See, I didn't even know there was a variation on normals like that LOL

    Are people still playing with that, seeing if it's genetic?
