    First Clutch Ever SO EXCITED

Sorry about that bad picture, had to take it with my phone. Looks like there's five and they're ENORMOUS. I am so excited for my first clutch! My spider Noah was the dad. I decided to let her incubate them, and she's wrapped around them really nice now.
Today is my usual feeding day and she hasn't eaten at all since she ovulated, but I'd really like her to eat. I decided to skip today so I don't stress her out, but for those of you who've done this, do you generally feed smaller prey items to work back up to the right size? She really was reacting to the other snakes getting fed around her, bumping up against the tub and flicking her tongue a lot, so I think she'll take her meals.

    SO EXCITED.

I ordinarily just offer a fresh killed smaller-than-usual meal in my female's bin (either a large mouse or a rat weanling for the girls who ordinarily get sm-md rats). Ordinarily, they will come away from their eggs entirely to eat but some of mine will strike and partially coil the rat while their lower end is still partly wrapped around the eggs.

    Hope that helps.

Congratulations, nice clutch. Yes I've heard as well to offer a smaller meal than usual as well. Good luck with the clutch, keep us posted with more picts. She's a beauty!!!

Sweet! Good luck with her incubating them! I also feed smaller than usual prey to new moms.

Congrats!!! I can't wait till I see the first clutch. I need to wait a couple more seasons for my females to grow.
