I need a place to live... :(
Does anyone know of any apartments in/ around Fort Worth, TX that either don't have restrictions on "agressive breeds"? I got accepted into a grad program there, but I need to find a place to live in the next month or so since classes start right after graduation. It really sucks that crappy owners ruin it for the people with well-behaved dogs
I don't have anyone I can room up with yet (not to mention I've had enough bad roommate experiences for the past 3 years), so I was hoping to get a one bed apartment or loft, but if there are any inexpensive houses for rent that anyone knows about that would be great too since they're usually a little more lenient on breeds.

I can't think of any off the top of my head but you can always call around, I could be wrong but I think you should be able to call around and find a place rather easily it will be the size restriction instead of the breed restriction, I think.

There has got to be some place. Do you have a way to go down there for a day or two to looks for places? I didn't get a bully breed till we bought our house, but it was hard to find places that allowed cats and small dogs. I had the best luck with renting houses because they were much more lenient about dogs. Good luck!

Put up a CL add for that area. be honest in the behavior of your dogs, if you have a pit bull its always a good thing to try for its CGC, give a list of references, personal and vet, Its worked for me.
I lovelovelove bully breeds, but until I purchase my own home, I won't have another one.

Hmmm my boyfriend lives in fort worth, and his sister has an apartment, I can see if they know anything! I agree with posting an add on craigslist though! As well as renting a home...much easier to get animals in rather than an apartment!

Craigslist has been a godsend for apartment hunting here in Minneapolis, I bet it'd work well in the Ft Worth area too. My gf's neighbors in her duplex have a big-headed intimidating-looking bully breed with huge teeth and a big goofy grin that shows off those pearly whites.
He'd likely scare anyone who isn't familiar with dogs, or at least anyone who isn't an animal lover.. but to me he's just a big goofball, he just loves people and would never intentionally hurt anyone. It made me happy to know that the landlord is a guy who meets-and-greets potential renters AND their dogs before giving approval. I got to talk to him, he said that he's more than happy to rent to dog owners, and doesn't care about breeds, but will not allow openly aggressive dogs.
Keep looking, I'm sure there are places out there and they probably aren't even that hard to find, if you're willing to compromise on other aspects of housing (price, size, location, how "nice" it is, etc) then it should be even easier.
If you can find duplexes/fourplexes with something for rent, or something that is run by a single owner as a small bit of extra income, you might have more luck than looking at big apartment compelxes.

Re: I need a place to live... :(
Thanks everyone for your input, actually, the golden i have is my parents so it usually stays with them, and technically the german shepherd is my boyfriends dog and he will go with him whenever we graduate and are no longer living together. So I will only have my one rottweiler.
I've got a couple weeks still, and Ive been looking online and calling places but so far i've only found a couple that are in my price range and have no breed restrictions. Unfortunately they're not in the nicest of neighborhoods and if I have to live alone, thats not the best choice since I'm just a youngish girl.
I may have to wait until classes start so I can meet some people to find a roommate.
I'm trying not to be took picky, as long as the place is clean, functional, safe, and will let Charlie live there, I don't really care.
