    Not seeking heat after POS???

I have a female that ovulated on 3/26 (and she was huge so I am certain it was an ovulation), then shed 16 days later but is not seeking heat. All 5 of my females last year did after their POS. So I am worried.

Has anyone had their females not seek heat and lay a viable clutch?

She's got a 91 hot spot and 78-85 ambient (varying at night versus day, and throughout the tub.

    Thanks for any insight!
    Cheers,
    Jessica Gibbs

    Hi,

Not to mess with your head or anything but I have a female who has builds so large I have been convinced they were ovulations every... single... danged.... time....

The main difference is the ovulations only last for 24 hours but the builds can last anything from a couple of days to a week.

I love her dearly but she does my head in.

Some do, some don't right after the shed.

Eventualy she will go and hugg the hotspot before laying.

She should be fine. If she stays on the lower temp side then it'll just take longer before she lays, but I bet she'll go hot before long.

We had one that definitely didn't seek the hot side. 91 was the warm spot, but she stayed noticeably off of it. She layed a good 6 egg clutch (still waiting for eggs to hatch...).

With just 3 clutches so far, I've learned they're all different, and they're happy to mess with your mind.

Just for clarification females can and do ovulate longer than 24hours. Some have got 1 day to a full week ovulating.

This year i had a female ovulate for 2 days and didnt shed till 1 week before laying her eggs.
