This is the very reason our hobby is in trouble. The majority of us are very cautious and handle our animals with care. But, there will always be accidents, and mistakes. No matter what you cannot be 100% safe with everything.

And, why is it up to us to determine if someone is allowed to carry a hot? Why shouldn't it be their decision if that's what they want and are responsible about it?

I think they should be licensed to carry hots, but if that's what they want then it's their decision. If you want to take that risk, I think you should be very able to make that choice.
