I personally use chlorohexadrine to wipe my tubs and my water bowls. You can pickup a bottle that uses a teaspoon per gallon for $9. I bought a $.89 squirt bottle from Walmart and make my own spray. That will last FOREVER if you have a single ball python or even a small rack full. Hot water alone won't kill bacteria.
