So I checked on my girl Zoey tonight and noticed her Jacobson organ vents were red-ish. I don't remember them being this pink/red. She was also hissing[/squeaking?] while I had her out, but just a little sometimes, mostly when she was under "stress" like when I'd adjust her because she'd start to squeeze a little too tightly on my neck. When I put her back in her tank she stopped hissing though so it's not constant. Were her Jacobson organ vents always pinkish and I never noticed or is this a sign of a respiratory infection? Her temps/humidity are good and within range, and while I am using the stick on kind [working on getting a good temp gun] they haven't changed at all from where they've been for the past two years I've had her.

I've been checking google for some pictures and it seems like the color of hers are normal, but I've only been able to find a couple good pictures of bp faces that show those. I'm freaking out too because she won't let me open her mouth to check if it's an RI, so now I'm worried that the redness and hissing are an RI... I just need someone to put my mind at ease... Or at least tell me how to get her mouth open in a way that keeps stress to a minimum but where I can still check for bubbles, thick/yellow goo, etc....
