I just noticed that my avatar changed without me changing it. What's the deal?

I just posted on a thread and noticed that my avatar has magically changed into a picture of me without me messing with it. Why would it do that? My location details also look a little different. Anybody else have this happen?

Yep, facebook connect. It links the accounts. On the positive side, when you want to have a new avatar, you do not have to upload a pic any more, just choose from facebook pics!

Re: I just noticed that my avatar changed without me changing it. What's the deal?

Okay, now that I think about it, I guess I did click on that little Facebook icon out of curiosity the other day. And now that I click on it again, it's displaying still another picture of me; one that is new and only exists on Facebook. The other one was confusing, because I think I do have it as my profile picture on this forum, but not intended as an avatar. Thanks for helping me figure this out. I kind of liked having my business logo as my avatar...... but I guess that's okay if everyone knows what I look like!

    Hi,

If you don't like it you can unlink the acounts by visiting your user control panel and going to "edit connections" and unclicking it.

Or this link might even work.

That seems to have worked. I just had to go back into my computer and find my previous avatar again. Thanks!
