The point I'm trying to make is as a society we tend to attack the individual and not the institution. And this individual ONLY because the corporate media decided to focus so much attention on it. It was pushed on us because the HSUS and PETA (type groups) made a killing as far a profits. Look how many shows on APBTs popped up on Animal Planet, National Geographics during and after his case. A lot of people made money, believe me. And it was not because they love the breed or hate dog fighting like many of us. But because if dog fighting made the right people money it would be legal too. This is a capitalist society. Profits will ALWAYS be put over people.
I'm happy someone brought up Rape'em Roethlisberger. this guy sexually assaulted 2 known women. ESPN didn't even touch it the first time around. The second time they had to. Where was the outcry here? If Roethlisberger was raping pitbulls then there would have been outrage.
So in no ways do i support cruelty to animals. I simply choose to look at the bigger picture.
