    Doggie bag feed for rats

Can doggie bag dog food be fed exclusively for all stages of weaned rats? Any supplements or treats need to be added to their diet?

    Thanks

No, not so good.use a better food like Mazuri for healthier rats that have larger litters.

Where can i find Mazuri, besides ordering it online? Is this sold in farm feed stores, pet stores? I've never seen it sold in my local stores.

Doggie bag dog food can be fed exclusively but I do give my prego rats chicken bone treats. My rats are doing well on Doggy bag.

The larger feed stores either have it or will get it for you.

I used to feed dog food to my rodents until I found the Mazuri rodent diet and since the change I have noticed larger litters with better looking adult rodents.it just seems to be a better overall diet.

I used to use doggie bag on my weaned rats, that I was just selling, not planning on breeding. But, in my area, doggie bag is now $18.99 for a 40# bag. I buy ADM rodent breeder diet 50# bags for $17.50, no brainer...

I tried it once on one of my breeding racks, for comparison. I found more cannibalism and smaller litters on doggie bag over a couple of month trial...

Let me ask you this. Was it "doggy bag" if not then everything you have stated is irrelevant.

Hes asking about the TSC "doggie bag" brand dog food, maybe you tried some garbage dog food that sucked big time, but from what i hear the doggie bag brand is quite well and many people who have used it for rats and noticed no change it production.

So again unless you have used DOGGIE BAG brand then please do not say its better than something else
    Mike

I'll pipe in on the doggie bag, being "good"....

    It's crap.
Personally, I would only use it on weaned rats that are intended for a very short life...There are those who will argue, but like I said, that's my personal feeelings on doggy bag....
