If you fed her a large meal maybe wait a couple days but in general I don't wait and haven't had any issues getting locks the same day they eat.
I also pull males that get sat on for longer than 12 hours, rarely will I get a lock during that "visit" if the female lays on him for an extended period.
If breeding him to multiple females then you can pair him up for 3 days then give him 4 days rest. If breeding to one female then you can pair him for 3 days every 2 weeks. A well rested male will breed better than a tired one. You really only have to pair once a month and you will get the same results. Once I witness a lock and they separate, I take him out even if it is on the first day. This is my method! You need to find out what works for you and your schedule. Good luck!
