    Looking for a new thermostat

My current thermostat is pretty old and im looking to upgrade.
I tried searching on amazon and google for a digital reptile thermostat but havnt really found anything that looks good. I really dont know off the top of my head what brand my current one is actually.
Can anyone give me some suggestions on what you would reccomend?

After using Helix, Johnson, and Ranco I am now using strictly Herpstat stats. I got one with a rack when I bought some snakes and soon after that replaced all my stats with herpstats.

Personally I am really liking my VE and they are getting great reviews

    Reptile Basics

Reptile Basics carries a couple different ones but the best question is, How much do you want to spend?

I just bought a quartet of snakes including a pied and 3 het for pieds...
I think I can invest some good money in a good thermostat, these snake will get the best!

So ya my price range is anything really...
I was given the one i have from a previous snake owner so I dont really even know how much they cost.

Ill check out the ones you guys suggested! Thanks!

    Hey there,

A thermostat is a important component of any Ball Pythons habitat, that's great you are looking to upgrade.

I recommend a proportional thermostat. You can read about the difference between on/off and proportional thermostats here:http://www.reptilebasics.com/thermostat_faq

My personal recommendation would be Reptile Basics Vivarium series of thermostats: http://www.reptilebasics.com/thermostats

    or

Herpstats - I own a Herpstat and a Herpstat ND and I love them both. It doesn't get much better than Herpstat:http://spyderrobotics.com/index.html

Grab a Herpstat, you can get a really great one for around or under $300, or their basic for about $100.
