Can I mount an RHP vertically?

So I just bought two new RHPs, only to find that they won't fit in the top of my Vision Cages. The Visions have the angled vents and other molded bits that limit the ceiling space. I did not account for all of that.

Any reason that I can't mount these RHPs along one side? At least temporarily? I hate these Vision Cages, so I am going to scrap these and buy two new AP Cages. Looks like sooner rather than later now. Just want to be sure that I am not creating a fire hazard in the meantime.
