    Pre lay shed!?

So my big gurl just shed. Right before se was swelled up like a balloon and now she is her normal size. Was that the prelay?

    Re: Pre lay shed!?

Well from the sounds of it she had her prelay shed. Usually they will shed shortly after ovulation(swelling) goes back to normal. She should be seaking out the hot spot for the next 30 days or so until she lays.. congrats

    Ok thanks!

I'm more than positive she is gravid because se locked up a good 20+ TIMES WITH my pastel male since early oct.
And she is spending a lot of time on the hot spot.
Aso she is laying inverted a lot.
During this past week while she was in shed
She was laying inverted and on the hot spot more than usual. She is also very "all over the place." And in the past 2 months since her last feed
She has only lost about 40grams.
    1829-1789....

    Another question is
Will she start to show signs of swelling again? This is my first go at breeding. And also hers. Lol and my pastels!
So I don't know what to expect. Like how she will look during this 30 days till eggs u know?
I just wanna know will she become all swollen fat again.?

Yea she will get all fat again lol really fat! She will start to look fat around the tail she will also start to look " pyramid-ish" lol you will start to see spine show the closer she gets to lay date. The closer she gets you will also see her get fatter around her tail as she moves her eggs down. There are a few good sites you can go to that show pics off the process.

Markus Jayne has a good page. On his site it's under breeding. It shows step by step pics of what you'll see. Good luck!!!
