Try aluminum foil for the tops, to help maintain humidity. Mist a few times a day too, or get moss. I noticed it helped bring down some of my temperatures, temporarily. My setup is almost identical.

Do you notice that your BP has a preferred hiding spot/side? Or does he switch off. Reason why, I was curious, I have two different hides too, and he sticks to the hot side. So I was wondering if that was normal.

& when she was in the 10g and the hides were differant, she would switch off, but I only noticed it once. Now shes been hanging out in her hot side, but she seems to prefer it over the cool side anyway. my guess it that as long as all your temps are good, and the hides are secure enough your BP just prefers the warm side.
