My male leo is constipated or impacted
Here is the siutation:
I have 2 geckos, (one male, one female) in a 20 gallon long, hot end is kept at around 90, cool end is at 75. They are on paper towel, they have access to water and a humid hide. I feed them mostly mealworms and periodically wax worms, and also superworms. It might have been a superworm that I fed the male, but for about 2 weeks my male has been eating less and pooping about once a week. I've been giving him warm baths with water at 90 degrees up to his elbows (but he hates them). He will eat two mealworms every couple of days. I also tried mineral oil for a few days but I wasn't satisfied with results and decided against giving him more incase it could cause problems. I just want to know if anyone else had experience comparable to this and what they did.

Are you sure it's a male and the other one is a female? I ask because, in my experience, it is more likely a female will go off on little hunger strikes. I only have one male to base this on, but he has never missed a meal and my females (three of mine and one I am caring for) have all stopped or slowed their eating at various times. One of my girls does so every year (she is now), she has never been bred but lays eggs and eats nothing for months. The other girls will go on and off feed mid-winter/early spring, but not as drastically as Clementine. Tim, as I said, is always ready to be served dinner.
Are you planning on breeding them ('cause they are going to anyway)?
It might be prudent to separate them for the time being and to also get a fecal done on the male, just to be sure.
Edit: Typically though, if he is still eating and pooping...even just a little...he is probably OK, especially since you don't have sand or a loose substrate in there. I tend to err on the side of caution though, get a fecal and separate them.
How old are they? How long have they been together?

Oh, he's definitely male, he's got hemipenes and is about twice the weight of the female. They've been together since they were babies, and seem to dislike being separated. They are both about 2 years old, full size. He's a little lethargic too, and the poop he does have is much longer than it's ever been. I doubt he has any parasites to worry about. I think he has something from the superworm stuck in his track. I understand that geckos can cool down from time to time, but like with your male leo mine never refused a meal.

I wouldn't think it's because of a super, they are a fine feeder and a 2 year old can handle and digest them with no issue.
Have you looked at his belly? Is it nice and normal or is he puffy? Any outward signs of swelling anywhere? Any bruised looking anything on his belly?

i mean, he's always been a little heavy and fat. He doesn't have any discolorations or bruising or any sign of prolaspe. His color has gotten darker so I think he's nearing a shed. I just looked at his belly, and he seems slightly bloated.

Well, your husbandry seems good, it's not unusual for them to go on little strikes and he may be shedding. You know him best, but I would just watch him for a while for now. He's eating and pooping, see what he does. From what you say he sounds like a normal naughty gecko going through a 'thing'.
If you really feel something is very wrong take him to the vet.

Re: My male leo is constipated or impacted
he just ate, and he was ravenous as usual. I think you are right, he may just be going through a funk. Scared the bejesus out me though, considering I already lost my pacman frog this week
I was thinking about either getting another pacman in the coming weeks or going with a crested gecko.
Any thoughts?
