well, heres my opinion. Granted I dont know much about cars, but Im slowly learning.
2011 Challenger SRT8- Personally I want one of these. Like bad. Its my dream car, in plum crazy with a black interior with the V8, stick shift. ( but then again, Ive always been partial to dodge ) So this would be my first choice. Dispite what someone has posted, the handling is better than they make it out to be. The only thing I can say is to go test drive one and see how YOU like it. I just happen to think theyre an awesome vehicle.
2011 Camaro SS- This would be my second choice. For no reason other than being its Mopar. Im not a huge fan of chevy (even though at the moment I drive a cavalier until my jeep comanche is finished). From what I hear, it handles well and is an all around good, dancing on the line of great car.
2011 Mustang GT500- I will never own one, nor would I even consider it. I really dont like fords. No one take offense to that please, Im not trying to start an arguement, or make fun of anything/anyone. Its just the way I am
Mopar(or in my case AMC) or no car, is how I roll.
Now when it comes to insurance, heck yes its going to go through the roof. That is one of the biggest downfalls when it comes to owning a sports/muscle car.

ps. dont let my opinion influence you lol. Im just saying what I would do.
Good Luck!

Yeah my insurance went insane too, i guess there is something about a 22 year old kid and a 420+ hp car that they thought was risky lol.

2011 Shelby GT500 all the way!!!
The improvements in handling and performance gives the 2011 Shelby GT500 a skidpad rating of 1.0G, and a Virginia International Raceway lap time of 2:58:48, making it as fast, and sometimes faster, than cars such as the M3, Audi R8 V10, Dodge Viper SRT-10 and Porsche GT3 around this racetrack

The challenger is my least favorite of the bunch, it's just too massive of a car for me. Honestly though if you have the cash to buy one of the three, I'd say buy a used car and spend the huge saving difference on modifications. That's just my opinion, more power, and built exactly how you want it.

I have been behind the wheel of all of these car's except the SS, I've owned muscle cars to import's and to tell the truth for the money, I'd rather have a Porsche Caymen R or Corvette ZO6.
If I'm going to spend 50-70K on a car the three you listed would be way down the list.. Hell for 60 grand you could get a fully restored Shelby or Corvette. But if I was forced to pick one.
The Shelby GT500 would be it..that car just looks and feels like it would slap the taste out of your mouth for looking at it wrong.. But please the KR version.

Speaking of insurance I totalled a 1999 Mustang GT 6 months after buying it, it to 1.3 million dollars in medical bills for me and the other people in the car.
I then traded up for a supercharged Buick riveria

I ended up paying almost 300.00 a month in insurance. Hated selling that car.

I'm a dealer Porsche tech and to be honest, as much as I do like the cayman, I'd pick up a vette first. More bang for the buck. Considering what a C5 z06 is worth, pick that up, cams, long tube headers, intake, heads/head work, nice. A well built N/A LS sounds great :-)
