Feeding Frozen Thawed or Pre killed?
I have been breeding my own rodents for over a year and am getting a little tired of buying the food, bedding, and supplies. I have been doing some figuring and seem to think that for the ammount of money I put into food I could get about the same number of frozen rodents. My balls eat pre killed and is frozen really any different? Isn't letting the rodent sit dead the same as defrosting one? I would like as many opinions as I can get. thanks!!!

I would be astounded if they didn't eat F/T if they are eating freshly killed.
I don't breed feeders for the same reasons you stated. Too expensive to keep feeding and buying bedding - let alone cleaning. However, I keep myself limited to 3 snakes at all times.
I got out of hand a few years back

Frozen is definitely cheaper than live/pk!! Just make sure the rodent is totally defrosted first!!
Oh and a tip I never got... let it defrost in cool water first before you try to heat it up.. If it heats up too fast you tend to have rat explosions when the snake constricts it especially with younger prey items

There is a world of difference between feeding fresh killed and frozen thawed. some snakes will never eat frozen thawed.
