    Perhaps my favorite snake in the world is the Okeetee Corn Snake. I ALWAYS have to have one in my collection. They do come out and are active in the evenings - at least that's been my experience.

    My Nelson Milk is also fairly active and a beautiful, vibrant red.

    I know that Corns are "beginner snakes", but after 30 years of keeping various snakes, the Corn is still my favorite.
