Turning a tank on it's side??
I have three "tall" ten gallon tanks from various animals over the years and I'm looking for some help on how to build either sliding doors or swinging doors on the top so I can turn it on it's side and do away with the screen lid. Also I'd need to add ventilation - how would I do that? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please point me in the right direction!! Thanks for your time!!

I would think having plexiglass cut to slide into the current grooves would work for the door (or having it cut to replace the screen) but the ventilation issue I am not sure about. Plexiglass is not easy to drill and it is also not cheap (can chip and such while drilling which ruins the whole piece, plus holes all over the front door don't look great either).
You will probably end up spending more than you thought and end up with a not so great finished product.

I'm converting 4 20G talls into vertical terrariums with front opening doors, for my crested geckos.
I decided I wanted to try out the conversion kit products sold by http://www.junglebox.net/
I haven't received them yet, but I'm planning on posting a whole "DIY" thread in the future as these tanks are going to require drilling holes through the side (soon to become top) glass for mounting nozzles for a Mistking system, installing the previously mentioned doors/ventilation, a custom shaped tree fern root background, drainage AND soil, and plants etc.
I'll let you know how the conversion kits work out for me.

There is a thread in the caging forum on one method of doing this and it is pretty simple using plexiglas. I bought the stuff to do it on one of mine but have not got around to it. Supplies to do it were very reasonable
