i'm in south carolina and monday night/early tuesday morning we had a massive storm system come through and knock out power all over the state, not sure what happened in north carolina and georgia but i imagine they got the same craziness. we actually had to go to the hospital to deliver our 3rd child tuesday morning and were dodging debris and branches and stuff on the way. then last night we get another massive storm system and were put on severe thunderstorm warning until 10pm-ish and were also on tornado watch until 2am today! i stayed up glued to the news the entire night and most of the early morning while doing the nightly feedings for our newborn.
oh,oh i forgot to mention the 2 short but sudden downpours of hail we got last night (the latter of the 2 sending our 7 yr old son running scared for his older sister's bed)...thank god we have a garage too, so our car suffered no damage. i'm sure i wont be able to say that for a good bit of our neighbors...including the cop with his police cruiser parked outside his home.
sorry for seeming all dramatic about this but i'm a california girl, the worst we got out there was the occasional earthquake and some scorching heat in the summer. spring was NEVER this crazy, as far as i can remember.
