Racks from Reptile Basics

I'm thinking about getting this rack next month so I have somewhere other than tanks scattered all over my small bedroom to keep my current normal and the two other snakes I plan on getting.

Has anyone used this rack setup before? Also, belly or back heat, which is preferred? Thank you!

I use This Rack With Great Pleasure... Belly heat just because i leave in NYC ans Sometimes in my room temp goin below 70 degrees... They Keep humidity well... I keep 1025g BP female and 1125 g BP male as of now large RBI Hides ceramic water bowls...

Great rack, I've had mine for almost 4 years and its still doing a great job. I would go with belly heat.

x3 for belly heat -- unless your ambient room temp never dips below $75.

I have never heard anything bad about Reptile Basics. I don't have one myself, but I have dealt with Rich on numerous occasions and he is great to deal with.

I have a Boaphile (RhinoRaxx) myself, and I absolutely love it. I have heard people that actually own both brands say they like the Boaphile a little better. The only downsides are that a Boaphile usually takes forever to get (minimum 6 weeks) and Jeff sometimes lacks in his customer service skills - that is my opinion from my dealings with him.

If you go with the Reptile Basics, or decide to check out Boaphile, you aren't going to go wrong either way. If you have time before you need it, I would go with the one that fits your needs and budget best.

Reptile Basics racks with belly heat.....used them, love them, planning on getting another in the near future

Hey all, it's me again! Figured I'd just reply to this thread because it is basically the same question. I'm thinking about either going with the rack pictured in my original post, the 4 tub rack, or with this six tub rack, also from RBI.

My only concern is - are the tubs in this rack large enough for an adult BP or a brooding mother? If not, I'll go with the 4 tub setup and get another one in a few months. Thanks!

I have three of those racks with belly heat. They work great. I am very pleased with them. The tubs, in my opinion, are big enough for adult female balls. I used to keep my adults in there when I worked with balls.

However, the racks are expensive compared to building your own. You can build them to hold many more snakes at a fraction of the cost. They are also pretty easy to build.

I have the RBI 32qt Iris Rack and I love it! I have back heat in mine, but i wish I had belly heat. Instead, I have to raise the ambient heat of the entire room the rack is in.
