    Cute new baby!

After years of rescuing pet store beardies that other people didn't want anymore, I finally bought myself a lovely, colorful beardie from a local breeder. Zeke is about a month old and is a red Italian leatherback from red crawley Belgium blood x red leatherback.

    Tiny thing:

He is puffed up in this pic and lunged at my finger soon after.

    Standing tall!

Thanks for the compliments! He is just what we've always wanted and is quite a good eater to boot. He's been scarfing down tons of crickets and mealworms.

Cute little Bearded Dragon...Watching them eat is the best...I don't think I'll ever get tired of them attacking the dubias...LOL

We have a small colony of dubias that is just getting going. How old do they have to be to eat the babies? And how do you feed them? I'd worry about dropping roaches into his main viv because they could escape.

My little guys/gals (around 4 weeks'ish) and yours is probably bigger eat baby dubias with gusto!!! LOL Just finished feeding the little boogers a bit ago. I take them out, dust them and then drop them in the feeding dish. If they see the dubias they'll usually jump in and attack!!! If they don't and their "picking daisies in the corner" I will drop one near them and they'll chase them down and devour them...LOVE IT!! I usually keep that up till I think they might be done. I try not to leave tiny dubias in the cage because they might slip through a crack. But dubias can't fly (or usually males might flutter with fervor and did escape a couple of my cages before I escape-proofed them)...I hope this makes sense? But yes, they can eat baby dubias...
