    So Excited! More BP's!

It is official. My girlfriend and I discussed it last night and in a month or so we are going to get a pair of BP's. Hoping to get a pair that is old enough to breed as well. I'm going to hit the local shows because my budget for the snakes themselves is around $250-300 and I'm thinking I can get some pretty good deals there. That or Fauna. What do you oh so knowledgeable and helpful people think?

Awesome! What are you thinking about getting? With your budget, I don't know if you could get 2 breeding ready adults (unless you just want to stick to normals) but you can get a pair of youngin's and work them up. Maybe two black pastels to get some super black pastels?

I agree. But, if it's a bigger show you might be able to get a better deal. I would put all the money towards an adult female. You can get a little male young one for $20-$25 and he should be ready by this next coming breeding season.

Don't forget to quarantine the new purchases, and good luck!

Normals would be fine, they are beautiful I would love to get pastels but that is probably out of my budget for now.

And, I don't think you can ever have enough normal females. They have the most dynamic colors and patterns. In fact, i know it's an annoying quesiton, but normals are usually the only ones where people ask "what morph is this". Lol.

Yes normal girls are the founding base to my collection anyways. I started with simple codoms and worked my way to the recessives and hets and now next year I'm looking at doing combos. Take things slow and enjoy it. I'd start with a nice big normal female and get a simple codom male to breed her with and then continue on. Even nice pastel males are relatively cheap now. Especially if the breeder needs the space  I gave more than a few good deals on last years left overs to clear out my youngin racks. I'm sure you can find great things at the shows.

Thanks for all the advice, everyone. Keep it coming! I will be doing plenty of research, emailing, and phone calling over the next month as well
