Is this safe to clean your BP with? (natural hand santizer, chemical/alcohol free)

To take one of them out every week for a tub clean.

So how do you groom them? I've bumped into some people here who say they give their BP's baths with shampoo :-)

Please, don't use shampoo on your BP. Lol. They don't need routine grooming, like most animals. If for some reason your BP is noticeably dirty, just soak it in warm water or let it pull itself through a warm damp wash cloth, as you would to remove stuck shed.

BP's don't need to be groomed... it's not like they're hairy or anything. The only time mine smells is when he gets poop on him, but I just wipe him down with warm water and a damp wash cloth or damp paper towels and that takes care of it.

I can't think of any circumstances under which a BP would need a "bath" with shampoo, regardless of how dirty it may be. If it ever gets that dirty or smelly, someone really needs to work on improving their husbandry and probably shouldn't have the snake in the first place.

Why on earth would anyone want to clean their BP and make it smell purty?

I know VPI uses a tiny bit of dish soap on a wet cloth to remove egg smell to encourage feeding. Past that I can't imagine, I have had messy royals come out of a snake bag once or twice but a bit of clean water on a corner of cloth works just fine.

I've heard of breeders doing this as well, but personally, I would leave the soap-washing to the professionals/breeders who know how much to use and how to use it safely.
Then again, I'm no expert, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
