That's pretty mcuh how it is in every area.
I live in the mid south, my distributor sells to everyone in the 6 states around here. They probably buy rodents from me and two or three other breeders, then in turn, sell to chain stores in their area....
Rainbow used to buy gerbils from a friend of mine.
