I don't/won't palpate during ovy or anytime that week around the ovy, just to be safe
When you see that build up coming and know an ovy is coming then it's time to let her do her thing.
After the ovy swell goes down then I feel it's safer to palpate.

my excitement is getting too hard to contain lol. this morning I saw her laying in an inverted coil on the hot side and she's a little under two weeks until lay date. I can't wait for my first clutch!!
