    Hoping this is the calm before the storm

    My pos het pied girl was bred to both my pied male and my pastel (used him to get the het pied going). This is also my first year breeding and I must have missed the ovie but I found her like this today. Hoping this is the pre-lay shed. Let me know what you think.

    Honestly she doesn't look gravid, but looks like she's building towards an ovy.

    The bad thing about backing up a recessive trait like pied with a co-dom is that now all the normals have to be considered just normals or possible hets, unless you hold them back to prove them out.
    You won't be able to sell them as hets

    She quit locking the beginning of March and has been staying on the warm side of her tub usually in a tight coil and being a first year breeder, I wasn't sure and figured I'd get some OPs. Thanks. I'll just keep introducing the male and see what happens.
