not glowing anymore?
Hello all....newbie question I wanted to know what it meant if a female who was glowing then shed and is now darker. She has been locking and eating and no visable ovy. Thanks.

Could mean nothing.
If she's still locking and eating, keep pairing and keep feeding and keep watching. Normally even close to ovulation they'll lose interest and stop eating.
Until you see something obvious or she stops eating then keep pairing and looking.

Thanks! I guess being my first year I read into everything! lol! Here is her pic today after she shed. I was shocked that she was visably darker! FYI She weighs 1687g as of 3/14 and ate last on 3/15 (she refused right before shed) and she shed today!

I missed the ovy on both of my girls. They both quit glowing after (what I later discovered to be) the post-ovy shed. Now I have one clutch in the incubator and one on the way! I'd say just stay ready and see what she shows you in the end.
Good luck!

I also missed the ovy of the female before I got my first clutch. As other have said its not big deal of you miss the ovy, just have your incubator fired up with the temps stable so you'll be ready to rock as soon as you discover her wrapped up around eggs.
Good luck!

I tossed a male in with her last night. Nothing yet! Time will tell! Thanks!
