We got eggs! the saga continues...... LOTS OF PICS
Here are the photos of mom and moms eggs!! let me know what u guys think and stuff like that! I DO NOT KNOW WHAT DAD WAS! NO CLUE
cause i know im gonna get the questions and i have some questions so im gonna try field the questions at this point! The female is a normal, she has some has some great colors and some odd eyes but she is a normal! if u guys have other ideas i wouldnt mind hearing them too! She is kept in a 30g tank with uth 85 ambient and 90ish in her hot spot that i use a light for light and for addtional heat! the box you see was large for her but we block up the back so it felt smaller for her, it was all we were able to find and wanted her in a box for transportation onces she has eggs.
the next box had moist moss kept in that we kept mosit, not wet. When we pulled her from the tank we were able to take the box and all out so that we were able to work on the table to make it easier and less painfull for all involved.
eggs arrived yesterday during the day while i was in class. She had a total of six eggs, two were yucked to start with or slugs but they were more yuck lol is this typical to get yucked eggs.... 4 eggs were able to be incubated i could see the viens just when i moved them under a bright light but planning on candeling still. the fourth egg is discolored, not sure what is up witht hat that one, it was at the bottom of the clutch not sure if the colorations is cause of the other nasty slugs or if its actually colored. ill update after i candle this weekend.
they are in a LLLReptile Pro MR-148 Incubator being kept at 89 to 90 and are with hatchrite. i have the eggs nessled into the subrate, how far should they go down..... should they be covered if so how much should be. they are covered with press n seal and i have a corner open just incase i dont do air exchange with them!!
they icubator does have a water tray which i am using and that is keeping it at about 60 plus humidity, and im planninng on keeping a close eye on the hatchrite, in the corner i did place a few drops of water to the hatchrite, due to a few things i have read on the forums about it drying out too much.
im gonna try to keep a update on the site to what is going on and if i changed anything on a weekly basis, just so anyone who wants to follows has that ability also it will act as a jornual for me and it may be fun for some of you to follow!
