85-90 degrees?
Okay,
The best part of this "story" is that I have already successively bred one clutch last year. Well, I'm having a nice little brain fart and for some reason I cannot find the answer online. I have a hovabator. I know that the ideal temperature is 88-89 degrees. However, heres my problem. Now, is it 88-89 in the hovabator itself or the egg box? I have 2 temperatures right now, I have a thermostat in the actual egg box, and I have a thermostat on top of the egg box. Well I'm getting two different temps, 85-86 in the egg box and my thermostat is reading 88-90. Good? No good? ::Scratches head::
I have another momma that is going to pop any day and this gotta get figured out. I have 8 eggs ready to go into the hovabator but I don't want to risk me messing this one up.

Typically you probe from the egg box. 88.5-89.

The thermostat probe is place in the middle tub, and I have a thermometer in the top middle tub as well as the bottom middle tub the variance is less than 2 degrees from top to bottom.
I do have a fan on the top circulating the air.
The temps IN the tubs vary from 88 at the bottom to 90 at the top.
You need to place both T-stat prob and thermometer prob in the egg box preferably taking the temp in more than one egg box.
