    HELP!!! Missing rosy boa :(

Some of my friends were over and they were handling the rosy boas. and one of my friends left the container slightly open. as soon as my friends left i left for 2 days. when i came home i checked on my animals and one of the 2 female rosy boas was missing.I looked literally everywhere in the snake room and it wasn't there. I don't know where it is and if someone could give me suggestions as to spots they like to hide in that would be great.

I know I'm a new snake owner, but from the research I've done they seem to like dark warm places with only one opening. She's probably scared, so I would imagine she's hiding someplace like that. I would say to just check everywhere even places you think are completely impossible. What about leaving food out in the room. She might get hungry enough to come out eventually? Don't forget to look up too, mine seems to like being up in his plants rather than in his hide.

Check everywhere and all over the room and any nearby areas. Check every space that you think she's most likely to fit through, even places you think she couldn't fit through. Definitely check around warm areas. I'd shut the door to the room and put something under the door to block the snake from slipping through.

What also helps is thawing out a rodent. You can put it on top of a plastic bag which makes a lot of noise. So thaw out the rodent, place it in/on the bag, make sure its completely dark in the room, and check in every now and then in case you see her on the floor anywhere or even on the bag eating the rodent.

Put baby powder or flour on the floor at night. Morning time look for tracks. It messy but it works. Also normally they don't go to far from the cage. They will stay somewhere dark, snug and warm. But warm may not be always the case.

I'm sorry you haven't found her yet I'm terrified of mine getting out, with owning a dog and a cat. I really hope you find her soon...
