How Often Should I be Feeding My 8 Month Old Cornsnake?

Write now I think I'm feeding her about once every 8-9 days. She seems to be doing fine and is growing, shedding, pooping and acting like a Cornsnake should. But I'm worried I'm not feeding her as often as I should be.

    Thanks.

Re: How Often Should I be Feeding My 8 Month Old Cornsnake?

I feed mine every 7 days until they get to be a couple years old. Then they move to every 10 days, and actually my big creamsicle female only gets fed every 14 days and is a very healthy weight. I'd say 8-9 days is fine for an 8 month old, but it definitely couldn't hurt to move her to every 7 instead. Most corns always act hungry no matter how much you feed them, so if she seems to be a healthy weight I'm sure she's fine

Here is what I do for all of my corns from day one:

Feed them once a week something that is ~1.5x the width of their body. I realize mice aren't uniform, so if its a little less or a little more size wise, not a big deal. Feed them that size once a week until you can no longer see a visible lump. Then move to the next size, and feed until no visible lump. Repeat this process until you hit jumbo mice. Even if there is no lump, don't feed bigger than a jumbo mouse, by that size/age they don't need more than that.

Older males (4 years or so) I will usually back their feeding to every 10-14 days.

Just follow this guide and your snake will always be well fed, healthy, and grow at a good rate.

i feed my baby corn. i say baby because i do no not know his birthday. but i used to feed him every 5 days, he would act just fine and after 3 days he would still look for food. i do not even think he is a year though to be honest. now i am feeding him every 7 days just because its hard to get mice where i am, maybe because i have no car either ahah. but he has been shedding often and growing fast. but i see no problem in feeding any snake once a week even when they are 5 years old.
Then I'm tiny like a door mouse
    Short like a bungalow house
    Minute like a pixie
You can barely even see me

Here is a copy of the Roy Munson plan...it works very well!

You will need a small kitchen type scale to weigh the snake!

    -When they're on single pinks (2-3g), I feed every 5-6 days. (Snake = 4-15g)
    -Double pinks (3g x 2) every 5-6 days. (Snake = 16-23g)
    -Small fuzzies (5-7g) every 6-7 days. (Snake = 24-30g)
    -Regular fuzzies (7-9g) every 6-7 days (Snake = 30-50g)
    -Hoppers (9-12g) every 6-7 days (Snake = 51-90g)
    -Weaned (14-20g) every 7 days (Snake = 91-170g)
    -Adult (20-30g) every 7-x days (Snake = 170+)
