This is my first season breeding and even though I have been learning a lot from these forums..I still have no Idea what Im doing..anyways iv been pairing my male pastel and female normal together for about a 6 weeks now and been seeing some locks i guess?????(see pic) my real worry is my female who weighed about 1600g when i started and seemed to skinny... but recently she has been putting on some serious size and is beginning to build ig guess (weighting for her to finish shedding to weigh again)???? what u think

oh and by the way when do your females and males go off of feed generally? both of mine have still been chomping down rats every week...and after how many months of pairing do you usually begin to start papelpating your females for folicle growth? i know these are some newby questions and that their are a lot of vairables involved im just looking for some general advice from the more experienced people in the community.

My females will usually eat till 2-4 weeks before ovulation.
With my males it depends, most eat less but still eat throughout the breeding season and some go off feed and just want to breed.
I totally prefer they eat all year around except during ovulation

I started breeding in November and have some follicles in a couple snakes and have several close to ovulation finally.
Snakes seem to have their own time schedule as to when they want to ovulate, just keep pairing and keep track of sheds and feeds.
