So he's a firefly then huh? I can see why you aren't 100% sure, but he is gorgeous. He has got the pattern of a firefly, and really nice yellows with his age....Hopefully he proves out! (you need a picture of his whole body!)
A good friend of mine has one of the most gorgeous fireflies ever, he is BRIGHT! They look similar to supers, but have striping in their pattern.
