That's an interesting lookin 'no substrate' egg box, can you describe how you set it up?

Well, lol you's are gonna love this one. I wanted to go and get some pvc to keep the light crating suspended but never made it there sooooooo what I used was plastic easter eggs lmao. I took the bigger part of the pastic easter eggs and broke them off of the smaller part, set them in and sat the light crating ontop of 5 of those egg tops. I made sure that the "point" of the egg ended up in one of the squares on the light crating. And just filled the tub up with luke warm water till about 1/2" inch from the bottom of the light crating. Hey whatever works right?? LOL

That's real cool, and intuitive. Only thing I'd worry about is the water sloshing up on the eggs if you move the box.. I plan to use perlite or sponges to keep that from happening.

That is one of my worries as well. Last year I filled the bottom with vermiculite then soaked it with water and thats how I did my first clutch this year but decided to give this method a try with these eggs.
This is how I did my first clutch...................
