Ringer?
Well, I should have made this post awhile ago, but I guess it's better late than never. I bought my bp almost 3 years ago now from a mom and pop pet store. She was only about a month old and they said she came from a local small-time breeder. She was also sold as a normal, but one of the first things I noticed about her was how much gold she had on her sides and how nice her blushing was.
So anyway, she's almost 3 years old now so her gold has darkened somewhat, but she still has gorgeous blushing. She also has 2 odd markings near her tail, one on each side. I've had a few people tell me she's a ringer, and others say there's not enough white for her to be one. So, what do you think?
The first pic is pretty old, probably from early 2009, but you get the general idea. The second one's newer and the marking in question is on her tail under the spot. That's not the best pic of it, but it does have quite a bit of orange in it. Up until this point I've always just called her a "fancy" normal because I didn't want to assume anything, but it would be awesome if you guys thought she could be a ringer!!
(She's also being moved to a large tub soon btw)

Re: Ringer?
Thanks! That's what I thought, but I've also always wondered what that weird marking/pattern could be. Is it just because there's not enough white? The main reason I made this thread is that I was browsing the Hunter's Guide To The Morphs and noticed that someone had posted a pic of their ringer that did have some white, but was mainly a crazy aberrant pattern on its tail.

that marking is called a "flame" they have them to different degree's from small to big that wrap around the body..
Ringers will have the white some times and other times just have little white but a really distorted pattern in a ring around the tail area..

Re: Ringer?
Cool, thanks for explaining! Still seems a bit confusing but I definitely have a better understanding now. I always thought flames came up from the belly and were connected to the back pattern, I didn't know they could look like that! I'm glad I know what to call it now
