I think the fans would work, but chances are its overkill for what you need, like said above its not that big. I use 2x 30mm (basically 1 inch) fans in my cooler incubator, which is smaller than yours but works wonderfully.
your just trying to push air around to keep temps constant, there shouldn't much velocity.
I use a single 4" fan that is used to cool aquarium hoods. Used it for 3 years now without a problem. It is actually cheaper than a computer fan setup fron Radio Shack also.
