I couldn't help but share a few quick pictures of "Slevin" (previously "Sam").
Rescued him from a local YMCA who had him as a class pet (took over a year of convincing before they let me take him). Was kept on hamster bedding, nothing covering the mesh top, approx. 20% humidity and NO heat source. Plus all he had was a large half log and a "rock" water bowl covered in algae. He rarely ate, was severely dehydrated, under weight, and had a LOT of stuck shed.
Brought him home, set up everything correctly, and got the stuck shed off. I've been feeding him every 5 days for almost one month now. He's an aggressive eater and has yet to refuse a meal with me!
(This was one week after I brought him home, right before I helped get his shed off)
And this was about 20minutes ago
Not so great pictures because he DID NOT want to stay still and was very curious of my camera.
Now, if I set him down next to me he'll crawl straight into my lap lol
