    albino ball prices at shows?

I am heading to the columbus, ohio show this month. I was wondering about prices for how much I should bring and how much I need to get authorization for from my husband. I am interested in purchasing: albino ball python baby and a Redtail boa baby. How much are we looking a piece at a show for those two? Also does anyone recommend seeing a specific breeder at that show for either of these two?
    thanks!

A fair price based on what I've seen recently seems to be $300-400 for a male Albino and $350-450 for female.

These prices vary based on the quality of the animal (a albino BP that is eating rats consistently is worth more than a picky mouse eater) and based on the quality of its color (high contrast Albinos tend to cost more).

In the end its up to you if you want a cheaper lower quality morph or pay more for a better looking and/or feeding example of the morph. In my opinion the higher quality animals pay for themselves in the long run.

    Hope that helps.

*Edit* Also 2 breeders I've recently bought Albinos from are Carl Gilmore over at Suffolk Selects suffolkselects.com/and Colin Weaver http://ballpythonbreeder.com/availab...egory/catalog/over a East Coast Reptile Breeders. I am extremly happy with all my Albino purchases from them and would highly recommend them. You can see more pics of the Albinos I bought from them in my BP.net gallery.

Re: albino ball prices at shows?

Thanks! Well that is over the price range my husband will give me for a birthday gift. I have some het pieds as my breeding project so was looking for something more as a pet or could maybe add to the pieds down the road.
I love spiders too, what is their show price range for a baby?

Ok we go to the show every month without fail lol. You will know us if you see us we are the paramedic couple walking around as we have to work after the show lol. Anyway the previous poster was pretty spot on male albinos are usually between 300-350 and females 350-400. You can usually find the red tails around 50 sometimes a little less sometimes a little more. Lastly, spiders are around 125 for a male and 175 for females. Now the good thing about the spiders is that those are a little more established or at least what I have seen at the show are. What I have seen usually runs around 200-300 grams. Hope this helps and if you see two male and female medic walkin around the show say hi! We are usually there from 9-1130. Hope this helps good luck!

Thanks! I will keep an eye out for you. My husband offered to take me to the snake show yesterday . That was sweet but it isn't until another 2 weeks ha ha. We are still deciding what I will be getting. Looking at redtails, spiders, and more het pieds.

Moved to General Herp for you, since the Inquiry/Feedback forum is for inquiring about specific businesses. Good luck finding your new babies!
